TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a donation of face masks from a generous quilter.

Cheryl Mead of Hiawatha brought about 200 homemade childrens face masks to the Sheriff’s Office on Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Mead challenged other quilters to use their excess material to provide masks for the community.

The masks will be handed out to kids at the Sheriff’s Office’s Trick-or-Treat event Thursday night from 5 to 8 pm.
