TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - With more Kansans getting vaccinated against COVID-19, more events are opening back up to the public.

  • Halloween in Gage Park: Saturday, Oct. 30, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Gage Park, 635 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka. A list of activities is as follows:
      • 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Ride the Spookomotive and enjoy the Rec+Roll Van. Rides cost $2 per person.
      • 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Visit Boo at the Zoo at the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center. Free with regular admission to the zoo.
      • 2 p.m. - Spook Science at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with pumpkin dissection. Admission is $9 for kids and adults, $8 for seniors and free for those under a year old and members.
      • 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Helen Hocker Theater’s Project Halloween promises family fun for $5 admission.
  • Tender Loving Care Pet Costume Contest and Party: Saturday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., 2500 SW 17th St., Topeka, in the TLC Parking Lot. Costume contest categories include Most Bewitching, Most Creative, Most Scariest, Most Boo-tiful with celebrity judge Betty Lou Pardue. Free treats will be provided by Hill’s. RSVP HERE.
  • Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat at Christ Lutheran Church: Saturday, Oct. 30, 1 - 3 p.m., 3509 SW Burlingame Rd., Topeka. Drive through the church’s parking lot to see all of the decorated trunks and treats will be brought to you. Come as you are or wear your favorite costume. Non-candy and allergy-friendly options will be available.
  • Prince of Peace Trunk or Treat: Saturday, Oct. 30, 2 - 4 p.m., 3625 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka.
  • Capitol City Pawn & Jewelry Premier Trunk or Treat: Saturday, Oct. 30, 3 - 6 p.m., 115 SW 29th St., Topeka, in the parking lot between Topeka Blvd. and Kansas Ave at the old Alorica Building.
  • Open Arms Outreach Ministries Trunk or Treat: Saturday, Oct. 30, 4 - 6 p.m., 2401 SE 11th St., Topeka. Food, indoor and outdoor activities, contests and more will be provided. Face masks are recommended.
  • CGA Booster Halloween Carnival: Saturday, Oct. 30, 4 - 7 p.m., 3740 SW South Park Ave., Topeka. Family and friends are invited to support gymnasts and enjoy a spooky night of fun at the indoor Halloween Carnival and outdoor Trunk or Treat. Dinner of either a pork sandwich, hamburger or hotdog, as well as a side and drink will be offered for $5. Tickets for games will cost 50 cents each. Popcorn, cotton candy and professional face painting will be offered as well.
  • Friends of the Tuttle Creek State Park Trunk or Treat: Saturday, Oct. 30, 5 - 7 p.m., at Tuttle Creek State Park River Pond, Tuttle Creek.
  • Silver Lake Police Department Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat: Saturday, Oct. 30, 5 - 7 p.m., 200 E. Lake St., Silver Lake, in the Silver Lake High School parking lot. Attendees should enter from the east drive and remain in their vehicles.
  • Official Ft. Riley Trick or Treat: Saturday, Oct. 30, 5 p.m. to dark, Ft. Riley. Masks are recommended for anyone trick or treating on Ft. Riley. Try incorporating masks into your costume.
  • Church of the Brethren Trunk or Treat: Sunday, Oct. 31, 4 - 6 p.m., 3201 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka.
  • Soldier Township Fire Department Halloween Trunk-or-Treat Drive-thru: Sunday, Oct. 31, 5 - 7 p.m., 4850 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, at Seaman High School. Trick or treat and see the fire trucks all from the safety of your own vehicle.
  • 6th Annual Topeka Trunk or Treat Drive-Thru: Sunday, Oct. 31, 5 - 7 p.m., 2751 SW East Circle Dr. S # 1, Topeka, in the Hummer Sports Park parking lot. Enter from SW 6th Asve. onto SW Oakley Ave., westbound traffic will only be permitted from SW 6th Ave. Brought to you by the Topeka Police Department, Shawnee Co. Sheriff’s Office, Topeka Fire Department, Kansas Highway Patrol and American Medical Response.
  • St. Mary’s Police Department Trunk or Treat: Sunday, Oct. 31, 5 - 8 p.m., 500 W Lasley St., St. Mary’s, at Riverside Lake. Trick or treat for candy and popcorn in your Halloween costumes and help Bob the Skeleton name his new pet.
