Man faces charges after two pit bulls kill dog in Osage Co. attack
OSAGE CO., Kan. (WIBW) - A Lawrence man is facing charges after his two pit bulls attacked and killed another dog and later were left on the loose.
Chief Carlson with the Overbrook Police Department in Osage County, says at approximately 7:20 pm, on Friday the Overbrook Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Ash St. on reports of a dog attack.
When an officer arrived, they were informed by the reporting party that their dog had been attacked by two pit bulls.
The dog died as a result of it’s injuries. The officer confiscated one of the pit bulls and took it to Carbondale Veterinary Clinic. The other pit bull was shot by a citizen.
The investigation found that the pit bulls were with Wilde, Brennan C.,19 of Lawrence, KS.
Wilde was charged with permitting a dangerous animal to be at large, cruelty to animals and endangerment.
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office and Kansas Highway Patrol assisted in the case.
