Crews respond to structure fire early Tuesday in west-central Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Crews responded to a structure fire early Tuesday at a residence in west-central Topeka
The blaze was reported around 4 a.m. at 1513 S.W. 23rd. The location was just west of S.W. Washburn Avenue.
Authorities said no one was believed to be inside the house at the time of the fire.
Topeka Fire Department officials said the blaze was on a porch at the residence.
Crews quickly extinguished the blaze and remained at the scene as of 4:35 a.m.
A Topeka fire investigator was called to the scene to determine the cause of the blaze and arrived around 5 a.m.
