Vikings Grille, located on NW Hunters Ridge Circle in Topeka, isn’t your typical sports bar.

Damon Reed, one of the owners of the restaurant, says he believes what makes them unique is the family- friendly atmosphere.

“"It's a great family place. Younger, older, whatever you know. It's just good people here and that makes me real happy.”

When you walk through the wooden doors to the restaurant, you might see co-workers sharing a drink, college students playing a game of pool, or kids making memories in the arcade.

All are welcome to come enjoy themselves at Vikings Grille. Bryan Hendrickson, a longtime customer, says it’s the atmosphere that keeps him coming back after twenty years.

"I love, love this place. We can come here after work, have some drinks, it's a good, calm family oriented bar”

Vikings Grille recently spent $150,000 on renovations a couple of years ago and Reed says ever since then, business has been better than ever.

Some of the renovations include the addition of a private party room, hardwood flooring, and an arcade.

The menu features a wide variety of American cuisine in Viking-sized portions.

The restaurant offers everything from steaks, chicken wings, and salads.

One of the most popular items on the menu is a half pound burger topped with onion straws titled “The Barbarian Burger.”

Vikings Grille has two locations. One is located in Topeka and the other is in Manhattan on Common Place.
